new toy / lego for grown-ups

i recently built a Voice of Saturn synth kit. it makes pleasingly skronky noises. i’ve built it into a tupperware box for now – let’s hear some suggestions for interesting things to rehouse it in! here’s some photos from the build:

WHAT I LEARNED: Don’t use so much wire! The lid would barely close when I was finished because the wires connecting the controls to the circuit board were much longer than they needed to be.

Doune the Rabbit Hole

So i played at Doune the Rabbit Hole last weekend. Just wanna give a massive thanks to all involved – especially everyone who stayed awake to witness my set at 4am! Apparently my set was loud enough to garner the attention of the local constabulary – some new fans in the making?

Musical highlights of the weekend included my wonderful friends in Francois and the Atlas Mountains, a sublime set from The One Ensemble and Sarah Kenchington, the always fabulous Tokamak and bearded folky voice-looping chap Wounded Knee.

i am grnr.  i make music with computers, other people, etc.

i play in the (soon to be) defunct band findo gask. here on this website you should soon find examples of the music i make myself, and info about stuff i do for/with other people. come back soon when i’ve moved in properly. the furniture should be arriving soon. and the place could do with tarting up a bit.
